His pronunciations of your name droned out with his repetition. After years of seeing the letters, cursively written on the inside of his wrist, he found himself at the point of obsession. You were like his drug, his core, the reason he was alive.
Henry’s pale fingers encircled your forearm in a swift motion. He pulled you into the cage of his arms and held you tightly, enabling your movement as he took in your sickeningly sweet scent. He shuddered, moving his lips to your ear. You felt the ticklish sensation of his powder white hair against your jawline.
“C-can I see your wrist?” He grinned.
You swallowed thickly and, obediently, you lifted your sleeve just enough for him to read the letters, spelling his name on the supple skin of your inner wrist. It looked so perfect.
“H-e-n-r-y.” he carefully sounded out each syllable, each letter, each sound, keeping a firm grip around your arm and waist.
He was… too desperate. This wasn’t what you imagined your soulmate to be… And yet, you had no choice. You were with him, or you were alone. And nobody wanted to die alone.
“Say my name, [Name].”
An oddly soft and genuine smile made its way onto his white-as-snow chapped lips. For once, you believed he was normal.
He looked into your eyes lovingly, drinking in every aspect of you. The way your hair shined in the rays of the sun, the way your eyes held a certain innocence and confusion. But especially the small hint of fear, twinkling in your irises. It all brought happiness to him, elated him in so many ways.
Henry didn’t like to share.
It was like a fairy tale, to have such a perfect person like you as his soulmate. Only dashing princes won the princesses…
Fate decided that you two belonged together, to keep each other happy for the rest of your lives. You were his soulmate. His chosen partner. His destined.
